The Live Ride Door to Recovery
The Live Ride “Door to Recovery” Ministry consists of
anyone seeking help with addiction i.e., alcoholism, workaholics,
gamblers, overeaters, sex addiction, anyone with compulsive and/or
obsessive behavior, as well as dysfunctional backgrounds.
We are a Christ-centered 12-step group where our higher power is
Jesus Christ. We work out of the Recovery Bible as well as other
resources in a group atmosphere. We apply scripture in our recovery
progress, as we learn a deeper understanding of the Lord and how
He can change our lives.
There is a time of group candlelight sharing if one so desires.
We provide a telephone list for men and a separate list for women
to sign if one wishes to. This encourages new friendships and someone
to talk to during rough times as well as good times. We encourage
women to contact women and men to contact men, as we do not promote
opposite sex relationships within the groups since it can hinder
progress of our healing and has proven to be disastrous.
From time to time we have functions which include the family of
members attending the groups. We’ve attended Dodger games,
bowling events, and a once-a-year picnic.
Our meetings are held at the Live Ride Christian Church at 6245
Sylvan Street in Simi Valley on Mondays and Fridays at 7:00 p.m.
